Michał Jaros - double bass player, a graduate of Jazz Department in both Chopin and K. Szymanowskiego school. In 1996 at the Jazz nad Odrą festival in Wroclove he was recognized as The New Face of Polish Jazz by winning the Grand Prix award. The same year he and The Newest Quartet group got the third-place award and an honorable mention. In 2003 they got a Grand Prix in a contest of traditional jazz named Hot Jazz Spring in Częstochowa. In 2009 he got an award inFestiwal Folkowy Polskiego Radia.
