Kenneth Dahl Knudsen International at 12on14 Jazz Club
Is an international quintet featuring young talented musicians under the leadership of Danish bassist and composer Kenneth Dahl Knudsen. The ensemble plays modern European Jazz with Scandinavian roots and strong elements of improvisation and interaction.
Kenneth with his ensemble has released two albums, the very well-received debut album “Strings Attached” and “Clockstopper” which is a personal musical tale about the fear of losing time and the fascination of time. The album was widely acclaimed by both the press and the audience, and Knudsen was appreciated as a modern jazz composer. “Clockstopper” was recorded in Skyline Studios in Manhattan and featuring such great musicians as Grammy nominated Johnathan Blake and Jaleel Shaw.
Kenneth Dahl Knudsen is Danish double bas player born in 1984. He calls himself a lucky man being related with music his whole life and playing with great musicians. His debut album was titled „Strings Attached”, and in 2012 he released „Clockstopper” talking about a fear of loss and fascination with time. The artist performed with Dick Oatts (US), John Scofield (US), Gilad Hekselman (ISR/US), Jason Marsalis (US), Soren Moller (DK/US), Uffe Steen (DK), Andrew D’angelo (US), Jan Kaspersen, Salvador Olmos (Mex), Nicola Pisani (Ita), Tomasz Dąbrowski (POL) and many, many more.
